North American B-25 Mitchell

Volunteers are in the process of honoring two sides of this B-25’s local history — serving with the North Dakota Air National Guard TB-25K in 1954-1958 and the James Connelly Air Force Base in the 1950’s.

Restoration nights are typically held Tuesdays unless cancelations are noted above.

North American F-86 Sabre

In January 2024, the Fargo Air Museum was awarded indefinite loan of North American F-86H Sabre #53-1253 from the National Museum of the United States Air Force. The Fargo Air Museum has successfully delivered the airframe from Jamestown, ND. The next phase includes restoration and conservation treatment.

Vultee BT-13 Valiant

Pictured above is the Fargo Air Museum Restoration Area featuring the Vultee BT-13 Valiant, a stage 2 flight trainer circa-WWII. Hard work, time, and dedication from board members, volunteers, engineering students from neighboring colleges and aviation enthusiasts alike are all piece-by-piece coming together and helping this piece of history do the same.

The Vultee BT-13 Valiant was an American World War II-era basic trainer aircraft built by Vultee Aircraft for the United States Army Air Corps, and later US Army Air Forces.

A subsequent variant of the BT-13 in USAAC/USAAF service was known as the BT-15 Valiant, while yet another  identical version for the US Navy was known as the SNV. It was used to train aviators for the US Navy and its sister services, the US Marine Corps and US Coast Guard.
